Norfolk Health Department Offers Free COVID-19 Vaccinations, Testing at Shiloh Baptist Church Community Service Day

NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk Department of Public Health is pleased to offer FREE COVID-19 vaccinations and testing on Saturday, Oct. 9 at the Shiloh Baptist Church Community Service Day located at 745 Park Avenue, Norfolk.

“We are grateful for our strong community partnership with Shiloh Baptist Church,” said Dr. Parham Jaberi, acting health director for Norfolk and Portsmouth Health Departments. “Vaccination remains the best way to end this pandemic and testing is a crucial component to our mitigation strategy to help keep our communities safe.”

FREE COVID-19 VACCINATIONS

  • Vaccinations available from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  • Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine (first and second dose) for anyone 12 and older
  • Those under the age of 18 will need to have a parent or guardian accompany them in order to receive the COVID-19 vaccine
  • No appointment is needed and walkups are welcome

FREE COVID-19 TESTING

  • Testing available from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. for ages 3 and up
  • Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
  • No appointment is needed and walkups are welcome
  • PCR testing only. Rapid testing is not available

CDC guidelines recommend continuing to wear a mask correctly, staying at least six feet from others outside of your household, avoiding poorly ventilated spaces, and washing your hands often.
