VDH Partners with Dollar General to Provide COVID-19 Vaccinations
Main Street location offering free vaccinations on November 10

(RICHMOND, VA.) — The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) is partnering with Dollar General stores to provide COVID-19 vaccinations at no cost at the Dollar General Store located at 502 W. Main Street in Stanley, 22851 Wednesday, November 10, from 2-6 p.m. Virginia’s pilot vaccination program began Wednesday, November 3 and continues through Monday, November 22 at sites across the Commonwealth. Additional days will be added at a later date.

The vaccination clinics are intended for individuals 12 years and older who have not received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Vaccinations are also available for those seeking their second dose, third dose or booster shots. Pediatric Pfizer vaccines for individuals 5-11 years of age will not be available during the initial roll-out of the pilot program.

The COVID-19 vaccine is safe and is highly effective. The vaccine is an essential step in stopping the spread of the virus.
