(PETERSBURG, Va.) –On Friday, September 12, 2014, the Surry County Health Department offices, located at 474 Colonial Trail West, Surry, Virginia 23839 will be closed for renovations and will reopen for services on Tuesday, September 23, 2014. The Crater Health District, Surry, Sussex, and Prince George County officials are working together to provide alternate locations for services.
“This is a temporary closure and services will continue at other localities during the renovation process to meet the needs of our clientele,” said Alton Hart, Jr., MD, MPH, and Director of the Crater Health District (Surry County Health Department).
Childhood & adult immunizations, pregnancy testing, nursing home screenings, Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), vital records, family planning, maternity, and sexually transmitted infections (STI) services will be offered at our Sussex Health Department 20103 Princeton Road, Sussex, Va. 23884.
Environmental health services for Surry County Health Department will be provided at the Prince George Health Department 6450 Administration Drive, Suite 101, Prince George, Va. 23875.
