Central Virginia Health District Hosting Rapid REVIVE! Training at County Health Departments
LYNCHBURG, Va. – As fatal drug overdoses continue to be the leading cause of unnatural death in Virginia, the Central Virginia Health District will be offering monthly Rapid REVIVE! Training. As an important tool to potentially reverse opioid overdoses, individuals will be educated on how to recognize the signs of an
opioid overdose and how to effectively use naloxone (Narcan®). The sessions are open to all community members and there are no requirements to participate in the training. Upon completion, each participant will receive two doses of the nasal spray.
Community members wanting to receive the training may visit any of the health departments listed below on the second Thursday of the month starting Thursday, June 8, noon – 2 p.m. The training takes approximately 20-30 minutes.

Amherst County Health Department – 224 2nd St., Amherst, VA
Appomattox County Health Department – 475 Court St., Appomattox, VA
Bedford County Health Department – 600 Bedford Ave., Bedford, VA
Campbell County Health Department – 116 Kabler Lane, Rustburg, VA
