Norfolk Health Department Offers Back-to-School Immunizations and Physicals on Aug. 20
NORFOLK, Va. — The Norfolk Department of Public Health is hosting a Back to School Clinic on Thursday, Aug. 20, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to help families get ready for the new school year.
The event offers required health checkups and immunizations for children entering pre-K, kindergarten, 7th grade, and 12th grade.
Important details for parents:
- Who can go: Norfolk residents are prioritized. All are welcome.
- Registration required: Please sign up by Monday, Aug. 17. Register at https://redcap.link/Back2School
- What to bring: Please bring your child’s current shot records.
“Getting your child’s required shots and physicals completed early is one of the best ways to ensure a smooth, healthy transition into the new school year,” said Dr. Susan Girois, health director for the Norfolk Department of Public Health. “We encourage all Norfolk families to take advantage of this clinic and reserve their spot before August 17.”
