Vaccines are important to help provide immunity, so we are recommending parents act now to ensure their children are up to date on many of the vaccines that are required to return to school.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Vaccines are available at many pediatrician\u2019s and family physician\u2019s offices, as well as at local pharmacies. They are often available at no cost through health insurance benefits.<\/p>\n<p>For children without health insurance or who are not able to receive their vaccines through their primary care provider, school immunization clinics are being offered at the following locations.<\/p>\n<p>Appointments can be made by calling the local health department at the following numbers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Harrisonburg-Rockingham Health Department: 540-574-5101<\/li>\n<li>Staunton-Augusta Health Department: 540-332-7830<\/li>\n<li>Lexington-Rockbridge Health Department: 540-463-3185<\/li>\n<li>Bath County Health Department: 540-839-7246<\/li>\n<li>Highland County Health Department: 540-468-2270<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Appointments can be scheduled during the following times:<\/p>\n<p>Harrisonburg-Rockingham School Immunization Clinics:<br \/>\nWednesdays from 12:30 &#8211; 3:45 p.m.<br \/>\nThursdays from 8:15 &#8211; 11:45 a.m. and 12:30 &#8211; 3:45 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Staunton-Augusta School Immunization Clinics:<br \/>\nFirst and Third Mondays from 8:15 \u2013 10:45 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Second and Fourth Thursdays<br \/>\nfrom 8:15 \u2013 11:30 a.m. and 12:45 \u2013 3:45 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Lexington-Rockbridge School Immunization Clinics<br \/>\nFirst and Third Thursdays<br \/>\n(by appointment only &#8211; 540-463-3185)<\/p>\n<p>Bath County School Immunization Clinics<br \/>\nBy appointment only &#8211; 540-839-7246<\/p>\n<p>Highland County School Immunization Clinics<br \/>\nBy appointment only &#8211; 540-468-2270<\/p>\n<p>Children will be able to receive vaccines regardless of insurance status, but if your child does have health insurance, please bring a copy of the insurance card.<\/p>\n<p>For more information on school immunizations in Virginia, visit\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/immunization\/requirements\/\">www.vdh.virginia.gov\/immunization\/requirements\/<\/a>.
