The Bear-y Best Start Resource Fair will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Richmond Raceway.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe know those early months can feel overwhelming, and parents deserve to know they\u2019re not alone,\u201d said <strong>Celes Davis, Chief Deputy State Registrar for the Commonwealth of Virginia<\/strong>. \u201cEvents like this help ensure families have the knowledge and community support needed to give every child the healthiest possible start.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This free event will bring together over 60 participating organizations and vendors, including health experts, to connect participants to essential resources in one convenient location.<\/p>\n<p>Event features include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrations on newborn care and infant CPR<\/li>\n<li>Direct access to trusted health professionals<\/li>\n<li>Information on health, safety, and early childhood development<\/li>\n<li>Connections to local community resources and support programs<\/li>\n<li>Giveaways and a free raffle<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cThis resource fair is all about building stronger, healthier communities by making sure every family has access to the information, tools, and support they need,\u201d said <strong>Office of Vital Records Field Services Representative Lisa Cauthorne<\/strong>. \u201cWe\u2019re so proud to partner with organizations and businesses across the region to create a space where families feel informed, connected, and uplifted.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>All families, grandparents, and caregivers are welcome to attend.
