{"id":9628,"date":"2022-10-24T12:15:14","date_gmt":"2022-10-24T16:15:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/news\/?page_id=9628"},"modified":"2022-10-24T12:15:14","modified_gmt":"2022-10-24T16:15:14","slug":"virginia-department-of-health-continues-to-make-changes-to-covid-19-dashboards-to-streamline-data","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/news\/virginia-department-of-health-continues-to-make-changes-to-covid-19-dashboards-to-streamline-data\/","title":{"rendered":"Virginia Department of Health Continues to Make Changes to COVID-19 Dashboards To Streamline Data"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE<\/strong> &#8211; October 24, 2022<br \/>\n<strong>MEDIA CONTACT<\/strong><br \/>\nLogan Anderson, VDH PIO<br \/>\nlogan.anderson@vdh.virginia.gov<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><b>Virginia Department of Health Continues to <\/b><b>Make Changes to COVID-19 Dashboards To Streamline Data<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>(RICHMOND, Va.) \u2014 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) continues <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">to streamline information on its COVID-19 data dashboards to better highlight current COVID-19 trends in Virginia and inform action<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">As of October 24, 2022, VDH retired several COVID-19 data dashboards and updated others.\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">No access to any currently available data is being removed, rather the dashboards are being streamlined and consolidated.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The following dashboards have been retired:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>COVID-19 Cases Among Children:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Cases, hospitalizations, and deaths by age group, including children, are available on the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/coronavirus\/see-the-numbers\/covid-19-in-virginia\/covid-19-in-virginia-demographics\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Cases Demographics<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> dashboard.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>MIS-C:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Multisystem Inflammatory System in Children (MIS-C) total cases and deaths in Virginia are available on the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/coronavirus\/see-the-numbers\/covid-19-in-virginia\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Cases Summary<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> dashboard.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>COVID-19 Testing:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> The most recent-7 day positivity percentage for PCR testing in Virginia is available on the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/coronavirus\/see-the-numbers\/covid-19-in-virginia\/covid-19-in-virginia-cases\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Cases Summary<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> dashboard. Other testing data is available on the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/covid.cdc.gov\/covid-data-tracker\/#county-view?list_select_state=Virginia&amp;data-type=CommunityLevels\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">CDC Community Levels<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> dashboard.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The following dashboards have been updated:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>COVID-19 Vaccine Summary:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Reduced high-level statewide vaccine metrics and graphs about vaccine doses administered.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>COVID-19 Vaccine Demographics: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Updated vaccination status filters to replace \u201cfirst booster\u201d and \u201csecond booster\u201d with \u201cmonovalent booster\u201d and \u201cbivalent booster.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The changes are intended to streamline the information that is most helpful in tracking COVID-19 and its impacts on Virginia at this point in the pandemic. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The VDH COVID-19 dashboards are available <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/coronavirus\/see-the-numbers\/covid-19-in-virginia\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">here<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">###<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE &#8211;
