NORFOLK, Va.<\/strong> \u2013 The Norfolk Department of Public Health is delighted to announce that its Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program has been awarded the prestigious USDA 2024 WIC Breastfeeding Award of Excellence<\/strong> for Exemplary Breastfeeding Support and Practices.<\/p>\n

This award is given to WIC programs that exhibit a strong commitment to improving breastfeeding practices and providing high-quality support services. Norfolk WIC<\/a> was awarded one of only two WIC Gold Awards in Virginia.<\/p>\n

In celebration of this significant accomplishment and to honor National Breastfeeding Month, Norfolk WIC invites you to a special event on August 30th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the WIC Park Place office located at 606 W 29th St, Norfolk, VA 23508.<\/p>\n

This event is designed to support and celebrate the journey of breastfeeding. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session with lactation professionals, gain valuable breastfeeding education, and access a variety of resources for pregnancy and lactation. There will also be exciting giveaways and much more!<\/p>\n
