Congress declared October\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/rchd.us13.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=ca391fd836680b3b7c4edc5ab&amp;id=b95431de01&amp;e=61e2fb9736\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"8\">Domestic Violence Awareness Month<\/a>\u00a0(DVAM) in 1989.
