RHHD\u2019s <b><u><a id=\"OWA6f5b346b-1a7e-09b2-d181-682247e37efe\" class=\"x_Hyperlink x_SCXW171065715 x_BCX0 x_OWAAutoLink\" title=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/content\/uploads\/sites\/119\/2025\/03\/2024-Annual-Report-RHHD-508.pdf\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/content\/uploads\/sites\/119\/2025\/03\/2024-Annual-Report-RHHD-508.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"1\">2024 Annual Report<\/a><\/u><\/b> provides community members with updates from its teams that focus on Clinical Services; Community Health; Environmental Health and Safety; Population Health; and more.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe dedicated public health professionals at Richmond and Henrico Health Districts work tirelessly to protect and improve the health of our communities,\u201d said RHHD Director Elaine Perry, M.D. \u201cWe celebrate the accomplishments of the past year and look forward to advancing this important work in the years ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In 2024, RHHD:<\/p>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li dir=\"ltr\">Received responses from 1,126 Richmond and Henrico Residents who completed the 2024 <b><u><a id=\"OWAaf5f7a5d-e7dc-e748-5e63-205f71a86f1e\" class=\"x_Hyperlink x_SCXW171065715 x_BCX0 x_OWAAutoLink\" title=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/richmond-city\/cha\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/richmond-city\/cha\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"2\">Community Health Assessment Survey<\/a><\/u><\/b> (CHA). Community members can read the full <b><u><a id=\"OWA70d5cc68-2aec-d30a-b1c0-c4d5b7731973\" class=\"x_Hyperlink x_SCXW171065715 x_BCX0 x_OWAAutoLink\" title=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/content\/uploads\/sites\/119\/2025\/04\/2024-Richmond-and-Henrico-CHA.pdf\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/content\/uploads\/sites\/119\/2025\/04\/2024-Richmond-and-Henrico-CHA.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"3\">CHA Report<\/a><\/u><\/b> online.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">Vaccinated 1,539 students at 60 in-school 7th and 12th grade<b> <\/b><b><u><a id=\"OWA6d0aa83d-56c6-2f7c-da28-604a4b75c3bb\" class=\"x_Hyperlink x_SCXW171065715 x_BCX0 x_OWAAutoLink\" title=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/richmond-city\/childhood-immunization\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/richmond-city\/childhood-immunization\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"4\">vaccination<\/a><\/u><\/b> events in partnership with Richmond Public Schools and Henrico County Public Schools.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">Provided health <b><u><a id=\"OWAce263f49-cd25-2db8-80f8-c0c8b172c565\" class=\"x_Hyperlink x_SCXW171065715 x_BCX0 x_OWAAutoLink\" title=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/richmond-city\/programs\/new-americans-refugee-services\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/richmond-city\/programs\/new-americans-refugee-services\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"5\">services for newcomers<\/a><\/u><\/b> from over 14 countries.&gt;<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">Reached 9,000 community members through Community Health Workers\u2019 attendance at Outreach and Community Events.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">Directly observed 2,608 <b><u><a id=\"OWA123bbd0f-312b-3999-318b-d55398724c40\" class=\"x_Hyperlink x_SCXW171065715 x_BCX0 x_OWAAutoLink\" title=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/richmond-city\/tuberculosis-program\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/richmond-city\/tuberculosis-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"6\">tuberculosis treatments<\/a><\/u><\/b>.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">Enrolled 50 new <b><u><a id=\"OWAf395c8e5-f351-1e47-35e5-fcae043f35cd\" class=\"x_Hyperlink x_SCXW171065715 x_BCX0 x_OWAAutoLink\" title=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/richmond-city\/stihiv-prevention-program\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/richmond-city\/stihiv-prevention-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"7\">PrEP<\/a><\/u><\/b> clients. PrEP<b> <\/b>is a medication that reduces a person&#8217;s chances of getting human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), the virus that causes acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS).<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">Completed 4,557 <b><u><a id=\"OWA6b57b05b-4591-1a60-1635-cc876f095fd8\" class=\"x_Hyperlink x_SCXW171065715 x_BCX0 x_OWAAutoLink\" title=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/richmond-city\/food-safety\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/richmond-city\/food-safety\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"8\">food service inspections<\/a><\/u><\/b> throughout Richmond and Henrico.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">Distributed 991 <b><u><a id=\"OWA68e24ee1-ad37-8938-4713-f54c8bbe3d92\" class=\"x_Hyperlink x_SCXW171065715 x_BCX0 x_OWAAutoLink\" title=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/richmond-city\/opioids\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/richmond-city\/opioids\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"9\">Narcan<\/a><\/u><\/b> kits (each containing two doses of the opioid overdose reversal medication) at community events and encounters (10\/1\/23-9\/30\/2024).<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">Conducted 4,362 <b><u><a id=\"OWAcb8daf5b-3ae2-2bd1-f9f8-028145ae76a1\" class=\"x_Hyperlink x_SCXW171065715 x_BCX0 x_OWAAutoLink\" title=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/richmond-city\/stihiv-prevention-program\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/richmond-city\/stihiv-prevention-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"10\">Family Planning and STI<\/a><\/u><\/b> clinic visits.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">Provided 441 COVID-19, flu, and mpox <b><u><a id=\"OWAe1d664f0-0257-e4a2-2ca0-d412ff21de17\" class=\"x_Hyperlink x_SCXW171065715 x_BCX0 x_OWAAutoLink\" title=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/richmond-city\/immunization-program\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/richmond-city\/immunization-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"11\">vaccinations<\/a><\/u><\/b> at mobile events.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>RHHD will be celebrating National Public Health Week on social media and on Well Read, the RHHD blog, at <b><u><a id=\"OWAb439a925-a989-5e82-3079-869f7bf8cfdd\" class=\"x_Hyperlink x_SCXW171065715 x_BCX0 x_OWAAutoLink\" title=\"http:\/\/rhhd.gov\/blog\" href=\"http:\/\/rhhd.gov\/blog\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"12\">rhhd.gov\/blog<\/a><\/u><\/b>.
