Together, we can help prevent suicide.<\/p>\n<p><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Suicide remains a leading cause of death in <\/span><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 255)\"><u data-ogsc=\"\"><a id=\"OWA5c73c7f1-9354-53c4-92cf-e8f010a1c815\" class=\"x_Hyperlink x_SCXW99802630 x_BCX0 x_OWAAutoLink\" title=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/nchs\/state-stats\/states\/va.html#cdc_data_surveillance_section_3-leading-causes-of-death\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/nchs\/state-stats\/states\/va.html#cdc_data_surveillance_section_3-leading-causes-of-death\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"1\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 255)\">Virginia<\/a><\/u><\/span><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\">. <\/span><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 255)\"><u data-ogsc=\"\"><a id=\"OWAa8cf579c-e9f8-bdc0-dcc7-1904aa22dd88\" class=\"x_Hyperlink x_SCXW99802630 x_BCX0 x_OWAAutoLink\" title=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/data\/injury-violence\/injury-and-violence-deaths\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/data\/injury-violence\/injury-and-violence-deaths\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"2\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 255)\">In 2023<\/a><\/u><\/span><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\">, 1,234 Virginians, including 31 Richmond City residents and 36 Henrico County residents, lost their lives to suicide.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Here are some ways to get involved during Suicide Prevention Month:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Get familiar with the <span data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 255)\"><u data-ogsc=\"\"><a id=\"OWAe6575953-8e66-5da9-4e0c-f84eb95f7340\" class=\"x_Hyperlink x_SCXW99802630 x_BCX0 x_OWAAutoLink\" title=\"https:\/\/988lifeline.org\/\" href=\"https:\/\/988lifeline.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"3\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 255)\">988 Suicide &amp;
