Free COVID-19 Testing Sites in TJHD

Below are upcoming free testing sites hosted by TJHD and other community agencies.

Note: These sites are offering free COVID PCR testing (nasal swab). TJHD is not offering antibody testing. Individuals tested at a TJHD testing sites will receive a call within 7 days with test results. Minors (anyone under 18) MUST have someone over the age of 18 consent for them to be tested on the day of the site, at the site. It does not need to be a “legal guardian”, although preferred. Anyone over 18 can consent for anyone under 18.

Mondays – Charlottesville (hosted by UVA Health)

  • When: Every Monday from 5pm-8pm
  • Where: Church of Incarnation, 1465 Incarnation Dr., Charlottesville, Va.
  • What: Drive-through and walk-up COVID-19 testing for people over the age of 6 months
  • No appointment needed
  • UVA Health will deliver test results

Tuesdays – Charlottesville (hosted by UVA Health)

  • When: Every Tuesday from 5pm-8pm
  • Where: Mount Zion First African Baptist Church, 105 Lankford Ave. Charlottesville, Va.
  • What: Drive-through and walk-up COVID-19 testing for people over the age of 6 months
  • No appointment needed
  • UVA Health will deliver test results

Monday, August 17 – Louisa County

  • When: Monday, August 17 from 8am-11am
  • Where: Mineral Baptist Church, 51 Louisa Ave, Mineral, VA
  • What:  Free drive-through COVID-19 testing for people ages 6+
  • How to schedule an appointment:
    • Call 434-972-6261. People must call to schedule an appointment from 8am-4:30pm on Thurs., August 13 or Fri., August 14.
    • No one will be tested without an appointment.
    • Testing is limited and people will be scheduled as first  called, first scheduled. We will respond to voicemails in order they are received

Thursday, August 20  – Albemarle County

  • When: Thursday, August 20 from 9am-12 noon
  • Where: Yancey Community Center
  • What:  Free drive-through COVID-19 testing for people ages 6+
  • How to schedule an appointment:
    • Call 434-972-6261. People must call to schedule an appointment from 8am-4:30pm on Tues., August 18 or Wed., August 19.
    • No one will be tested without an appointment.
    • Testing is limited and people will be scheduled as first  called, first scheduled. We will respond to voicemails in order they are received

  • When: Monday, August 24 from 8am-11am
  • Where: Loaves and Fishes, 2050 Lambs Rd, Charlottesville, VA
  • What:  Free drive-through COVID-19 testing for people ages 6+
  • How to schedule an appointment:
    • Call 434-972-6261. People must call to schedule an appointment from 8am-4:30pm on Thurs., August 20 or Fri., August 21.
    • No one will be tested without an appointment.
    • Testing is limited and people will be scheduled as first  called, first scheduled. We will respond to voicemails in order they are received

Thursday, August 27  – Greene County

  • When: Thursday, August 27 from 8am-11am
  • Where: Emmanuel Christian Center, 111 New Life Dr, Ruckersville, VA
  • What:  Free drive-through COVID-19 testing for people ages 6+
  • How to schedule an appointment:
    • Call 434-972-6261. People must call to schedule an appointment from 8am-4:30pm on Tues., August 25 or Weds., August 26.
    • No one will be tested without an appointment.
    • Testing is limited and people will be scheduled as first  called, first scheduled. We will respond to voicemails in order they are received

For antibody testing, you should contact your primary care provider (PCP). If you do not have a PCP, Central Virginia Health Services and the Charlottesville LabCorps is offering antibody testing (see information above).
