You must be registered as an MRC volunteer if you wish to attend this training.

 

What: The Office of Emergency Preparedness will present VDH: POD Essentials Overview. You can access this training via live webinar on February 18 from 6:30-8:00 p.m.

Learning Objectives: After the session, participants will be able to:

  • Outline the decision process for activating POD sites during a public health emergency.
  • Describe a POD site.
  • Explain the importance of a POD during a public health emergency.
  • Describe the POD staff orientation and activation process.

When: February 18 from 6:30-8:00 p.m.

Where: Webinar (your home computer). Some in-person sessions may be available. See “How” for additional Instructions

Who: All MRC volunteers interested in Point-of-Dispensing operations are encouraged to attend this webinar, even if you have experience working in PODs or have taken POD training before. For those who have knowledge of POD operations, it can be a good review.

How: Registration is through TRAIN-Virginia: Course ID# 1089329.

If you are viewing from your home computer, the training organizer will send you a Websuite link with instructions, at least a day prior to the training.

A live session of this training may be available in Staunton, Charlottesville, and Winchester. The exact details for these in-person group-viewing sessions are still TBD. Please register for the training online in TRAIN. In addition to registering in TRAIN, please email me if you would prefer to attend in person.
