Appointment-based Community Testing Centers (CTCs)

VDH will open nine appointment-based Community Testing Centers (CTCs) in response to public demands for additional COVID-19 testing. The new centers will be located near or on the same property as  the Community Vaccination Centers which have been operating since last October. Appointments are required; schedule an appointment using VASE+

NOTE: The testing center location will be posted on VASE+ as appointments are available.
Inclement weather may impact the opening of clinics. Please check VASE+ before going to a clinic.

If you were tested at a CTC, you will receive a text message within 2-4 business days that will require a two part authentication process to verify your identity and then provide you with your results (positive or negative).

This page is intended to provide information about of COVID-19 testing sites in Virginia.  It may not include all testing locations available in your area. Testing locations listed are subject to change (may no longer perform COVID-19 testing services). Listing of a testing location does not constitute endorsement by VDH. 

Please use these resources to find COVID-19 testing. Hospital emergency rooms, urgent care providers and rescue squads are intended for medical emergencies, not routine COVID-19 testing.

Contact the testing location directly to make an appointment, if appointments are necessary. If you are contacting Walgreens, call the telephone number listed at your local Walgreens and speak to a pharmacist. VDH cannot confirm that these testing sites have appointments available.

      *Free testing is primarily available for those who are uninsured, underinsured, or are Medicare/Medicaid recipients. Please contact the testing site for more details on eligibility.
