• Medical Reserve Corps Coordinator
• Nurse Manager
• Business Manager
• Public Information Officer/Population Health Manager
• One (1) position of districts choice
• Regional PHEP Funded positions

How do I Register for the Summit? 

Registration in TRAIN for the Summit and VES is required.

2025 Public Health Preparedness Summit

• Tuesday, March 25, 2025- Wednesday, March 26, 2025
  • Registration began December 6, 2024. Virginia Public Health Preparedness Summit  Course ID: 1119298
    • REMINDER: Complete the survey (Step 2) when registering in TRAIN. This information is vital for planning purposes.
      • Sessions you will attend determines session room assignments
      • Provide food allergies/preferences to prepare for meals provided

      • This workshop provides an overview of basic to intermediate use of Redcap.
      • Target Audience - All
    • Field Epidemiology Program Overview: Course ID: 1124988
      • This workshop provides an overview of key central office communicable disease programs and expectations. There are no virtual options available for this workshop.
      • Target Audience –
        • Intended for new district communicable disease staff  who have started in their positions within the last year
          • district epidemiologists/junior epidemiologists
          • communicable disease nurses
          • Other communicable disease staff are welcome to attend, but the focus will be on introductory/basic information.
    • VDH Spokesperson training: Course ID: 1003752
      • This workshop focuses on communication skills and strategies, communicating with internal and external audiences, and facilitating communication among individuals, groups, and organizations.
      • Target Audience - Any staff member that may work with the media

Meals:

• Tuesday:
  • The hotel restaurant will be open for anyone wanting lunch before the Summit starts on Tuesday.  
• Wednesday:
  • Breakfast and lunch is provided on Wednesday.
• Thursday:
  • Lunch is provided on Thursday.
• Anyone requiring any special accommodations can request them through the survey available during the registration process in TRAIN.

Deadlines:

• Summit registration closes via TRAIN on March 17, 2025

• Overflow hotel(s) will be identified and communicated should we exceed our capacity at Westin Richmond
