Piedmont Health District Offers Booster Shots of all three COVID-19 Vaccines for All Adults
Three More Vaccine Clinics in Farmville, Dillwyn

FARMVILLE, Va. – Effective immediately, the Virginia Department of Health’s Piedmont Health District will offer booster shots for all three of the COVID-19 vaccines for all adults at its vaccine clinics.

The health district will also host three additional COVID-19 vaccination events in Farmville and Dillwyn:

Friday, December 3                      8 a.m. to 1 p.m.                    Hampden-Sydney’s Kirby Field House, 198 Athletic Center Drive, Farmville

Monday, December 6                   3 to 6 p.m.                            Buckingham County Community,  16266 James Madison Highway, Dillwyn

Wednesday, December 8              3 to 6 p.m.                            Moton Museum,  900 Griffin Blvd., Farmville

The booster vaccine can be obtained by anyone 18 and older at least six months from the date of their second mRNA (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna) COVID-19 vaccine or at least two months from the date of their Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.

In addition to these events, the boosters are available at these previously announced vaccination events:

Wednesday, December 1              10 a.m. to 1 p.m.                  Crewe Volunteer Fire Department,  1105 W. Virginia Ave., Crewe

Monday, December 13                 2 to 6 p.m.                            Blackstone Volunteer Fire Department, 318 Church St., Blackstone

All of Piedmont Health District’s clinics offer first, second, additional primary and booster doses at no cost to the public. The Moderna vaccine and the single-dose Johnson & Johnson are available for anyone 18 and older. The Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine is available for anyone 5 and older. A parent or guardian must accompany anyone under 18.

English- and Spanish-speaking operators are available. Translation services also are available in more than 100 languages.

Individuals who are eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster dose may choose which vaccine product they would like to receive as a booster. For those individuals that choose a different product than their primary series, VDH urges you to consult with your doctor or healthcare provider who can assist you in making the best decision for your own situation.

If you are coming for your second, third or booster dose, please bring your vaccine card to confirm the date and type of vaccine you received in previous doses.
