Western Tidewater Health District Provides Free COVID-19 Testing
(Franklin, Va.) – Beginning Wednesday, September 22, the Virginia Department of Health will be providing FREE COVID-19 testing at Bon Secours – Southampton Memorial Hospital’s Satellite Lab located at 102 Fairview Drive. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This testing service will occur every Wednesday through October 27.
Please enter through the main entrance, take the first left, and satellite lab will be straight ahead
All are welcome. No registration needed. Attendees can expect to receive the results of this PCR test within 72 hours. Rapid tests will be offered to those who fit the screening criteria.
This FREE testing event is being provided in response to increased testing demand and a limited number of testing options in the community. For questions about the event logistics or services provided, please call 757-514-4766.
While testing remains an important tool in mitigating the spread of SARS-CoV-2, Western Tidewater Health District reminds its residents that vaccination is the best way to prevent serious illness or death from COVID-19. Masking, socially distancing, and frequent handwashing are other tools proven effective in reducing the spread of this virus.
