Pittsylvania-Danville and Southside Health Districts Welcome New Family Nurse Practitioner
DANVILLE, Va. – The Pittsylvania-Danville and Southside Health Districts are pleased to announce the addition of Charlotte Solomon, FNP, as the newest member of their medical team. Charlotte is a Halifax County native and brings a passion for patient-centered care and a commitment to public health. “Southside Virginia is my home and it’s a privilege to serve my community,” said Solomon.
As part of her responsibilities with the health districts, she will provide family planning services, women’s health preventative screenings, and testing for sexually transmitted infections (STIs). “Charlotte is an excellent clinician and I am confident that our clients will quickly develop a trusting relationship with her based on her professionalism and expertise,” said Scott J. Spillmann, MD, MPH, director, Pittsylvania-Danville and Southside Health Districts.
In addition, Charlotte provides educational presentations on topics, such as sexual health, throughout the community. “We are so glad to have her join our health care team,” said Julia Gwaltney, senior nurse manager for Pittsylvania-Danville and Southside Health Districts. “She’s compassionate, caring, and always shares a welcoming smile with everyone she serves.”
Charlotte will be conducting various clinics in Danville, as well as in Pittsylvania, Halifax and Mecklenburg counties. She sees both insured and uninsured residents. A sliding scale is available for those without insurance.
She is currently accepting new patients. To schedule an appointment or presentation or for questions or more information, contact Charlotte Solomon, Certified Nurse Practitioner, at 434-766-9819 or charlotte.solomon@vdh.virginia.gov.
