Think Before You Drink

Think Before You Drink. This month’s Health and Safety Bulletin focuses on the dangers of excessive drinking. Excessive alcohol consumption is the third leading cause of preventable deaths in the United States. Women should not exceed one drink per day and men no more than two drinks per day. Pregnant women and people under the age of 21 should never dink alcohol. People who do not drink alcohol should not start drinking for any reason.

Excessive drinking is associated with numerous health, relational and occupational problems and can lead to an alcohol use disorder.
