First Responders Against Human Trafficking

As we close out National Slavery & Human Trafficking Prevention Month, the Virginia Office of EMS has launched the First Responders Against Human Trafficking webpage. Did you know that 50 – 88% of trafficked persons use medical services at some point during their exploitation? This means there is a high likelihood you will encounter human trafficking on the job and have the opportunity to make a difference. The goal of the page is to provide first responders the information, resources and training they need to help combat human trafficking and help set captives free. Check out to learn more!
