First Responders Against Human Trafficking

As we close out National Slavery & Human Trafficking Prevention Month, the Virginia Office of EMS has launched the First Responders Against Human Trafficking webpage. Did you know that 50 – 88% of trafficked persons use medical services at some point during their exploitation? This means there is a high likelihood you will encounter human trafficking on the job and have the opportunity to make a difference. The goal of the page is to provide first responders the information, resources and training they need to help combat human trafficking and help set captives free.
