Medications for Addiction Treatment (MAT) can support a successful recovery for Roanoke area residents who want to reduce or eliminate use of opioids.

- Incentives to initiate and maintain treatment
- Support group
- Care coordination and referrals to other services including health care, residential treatment, domestic violence support, food access, transportation assistance
What can MAT do? |
- Immediately reduces overdose risk
- Supports recovery without withdrawal or full abstinence
- Enhances any recovery pathway, including Narcotics Anonymous (NA)
- Offers a higher chance of successful recovery, with or without counseling

Who is eligible? |
- People who would like to reduce or eliminate use of opioids or other drugs
- People who have never been on buprenorphine, methadone, or naltrexone OR who have stopped taking these medications 3+ months ago and would like to resume
