From Route 460, take the Route 606 Exit (several miles east of Crewe). Go south on Route 606 for about 1.5 miles to the first significant intersection and turn left under the railroad tracks. Go about a block to North Main Street and turn right. After a couple of blocks, turn left at the first traffic light onto Dinwiddie Avenue, which will become Darville Road. Follow the road out of town for a couple of miles. Turn right at the first significant intersection. You will be at the Ft. Pickett Main Gate. Show your driver’s license, and tell the guard you are going to the Occ/Tech Center. Go straight ahead, and keep an eye on the street signs on your left. Turn left onto W. 10th Street. Continue on W. 10th past the airfield to your left, and on your left you will see an old white barracks. The Occ/Tech Center and its Annex are the modern buildings just past the white barracks. Turn in just past the barracks and park in the gravel lot beside it. VCOWT courses are held in the Occ/Tech Center.
