Become a VCOWT Instructor!

VCOWT is looking for VDH employees, onsite professionals in the private sector, and qualified members of the general public as volunteer instructors to help expand its curriculum. If you have a background in any field related to onsite sewage treatment, the willingness to develop what you know into a one- or two-day course, and the urge to teach it, please download the VCOWT Instructor Application form, and follow the instructions for submitting the form to VCOWT to begin the application process. When the VCOWT Steering Committee has had a chance to consider your application, we will contact you with further instructions.

In order to teach at VCOWT, you must first be hired as an adjunct faculty member at SVCC. You will receive compensation of approximately $600 per two-day course. Compensation for travel and per diem is not included.

Some suggestions for courses are listed below. These are just suggestions. Please feel free to come up with your own idea for an onsite-related course. Even if you don’t want to teach, we would appreciate your suggestion for a course you would like to see taught at VCOWT. If you have questions or want to discuss a course idea. Please contact:
