CLEAN VESSEL ACT GRANT PROGRAM
The Federal Clean Vessel Act (CVA) Grant program has now provided over two million dollars to subsidize up to 75% of the costs of installing ninety-five sewage pumping and handling facilities at marina-type establishments in Virginia, as well as helping to purchase pump-out equipped boats operated by both the Hampton Roads Sanitation District staff and the Smith Mountain Lake Association. Each of the installed facilities has been evaluated, inspected, and approved through the marina program prior to authorization for reimbursement.
