The mission of the TB Program is to control, prevent, and eventually eliminate tuberculosis from the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Program aims to detect every case of TB in Virginia, assure that every case is adequately and completely treated, and prevent transmission of TB in communities.

New 12-Dose Regimen for LTBI
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has released recommendations on a new way for healthcare providers to treat latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI). The recommendations, published in the CDC’s December 9 Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, provide guidance on how to administer a new 12-dose regimen for TB preventative therapy.
