Clinical Services Women’s Health

Pre-conceptual counseling and family planning services are available to men and women. Birth control information, risk reduction information and screening for sexually transmitted disease, sickle cell screening, and birth control methods (IUD, Depo-Provera injections, birth control pills, condoms and other barrier methods) are available. Fees for services may be determined on a sliding scale based on household income.

Maternity

Colonial Heights Health Department no longer provides maternity care.  Clients are referred to local providers or Chesterfield Health Department for prenatal care.

Pregnancy testing and counseling is available on a walk-in basis on Tuesday, 8:30-10:30 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. There is a $15 fee. Services are offered free to Medicaid clients and teens aged 18 years and younger or still in school.
