Nutritionist

This is a full-time salaried position based out of the Hanover Health Department, and will be open to applications until May 29th, 2023.

Characteristic activities include conducting patient nutrition assessments and evaluations in various community settings, as well as developing/monitoring nutrition care plans and food packages. The Nutritionist will certify clients for participation in available public health programs; schedule, provide, and document basic and secondary/high risk nutrition education; and make referrals to programs such as Medicaid, TANF, and SNAP benefits. This position also serves as the agency’s Breastfeeding Coordinator, and will work closely with the agency’s breastfeeding peer counselor.

Office Services Specialist

This is an hourly wage position based out of the Goochland Health Department, and will be open to applications until May 26th, 2023.

The Office Services Specialist will provide program support to Environmental Health, Clinical Services, and Vital Records. Responsibilities include scheduling meetings and taking minutes, preparing correspondence, maintaining records, ordering supplies, and answering questions regarding program services offered. The position typically serves as the first point of contact for a program or work unit and directs inquiries to the appropriate division or resource, while explaining established procedures and practices. They may also be responsible for entering time/leave taken into the timekeeping/payroll system for their assigned program area.

Program Support Tech

This is a full-time salaried position based out of the New Kent Health Department, and will be open to applications until May 25th, 2023.

The Program Support Tech will independently perform technical office tasks in support of a program area regularly requiring application of policy and procedures. Responsibilities include serving as a contact and information resource for various programs, performing eligibility determinations for all services available in health programs, advising and training others, designing workflow processes, processing claims, and preparing reports on program activities. This position will also provide back-up support to the accounts receivable billing and processing department.

Public Health Outreach Worker- Every Woman’s Life

This is a part-time position based out of the Hanover Health Department, and will be open to applications until May 25th, 2023.

The Public Health Outreach Worker will participate as part of a team promoting awareness and resources for the Every Woman’s Life (EWL) program. This includes participating in health fairs, engaging in outreach within the community, and providing educational workshops to increase awareness of the program. This position will communicate with other agencies and assist clients in overcoming barriers to services, and provide basic health education by explaining various routine assessments and treatment processes. They may also be responsible for general administrative tasks such as keyboarding, filing, and reception.
