The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) and the Chickahominy Health District are responding to an outbreak of mpox that has spread across several countries that don’t normally report mpox, including the United States. For information on mpox in Virginia, please visit the VDH website. If you are a healthcare provider, please visit the mpox website for healthcare providers.

The Chickahominy Health District is working to ensure that residents who have been exposed or are at high risk of being exposed to mpox receive a vaccination.  If you are interested in receiving a vaccination, please complete our interest form. For information regarding mpox infection and the availability of the vaccine, please click here.

If you live, volunteer, or work in the counties of Hanover, New Kent, Goochland, or Charles City, visit our scheduling site to choose a day and time for your vaccine appointment. New events are added regularly and you can check back for additional appointment opportunities!
