CoronavirusCOVID-19 (“Coronavirus Disease 2019”) is an infectious respiratory disease caused by a new (novel) coronavirus that initially emerged December 2019. COVID-19 is spread primarily through respiratory droplets (meaning moisture that comes from coughing, sneezing, singing, or talking). These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs. The Statewide Pre-Registration System for the COVID-19 vaccine is live!  Please visit to pre-register for a FREE COVID-19 vaccine.

All individuals who have previously filled out a survey or form or signed up for a waitlist to be vaccinated through their local health district will be automatically imported into the new statewide system. Individuals will maintain their current status in the queue, and will be able to search that they are in the new system.

Current Chickahominy Health District Vaccination Phase

Based on limited supply of the vaccine, currently, we are vaccinating priority group 1A and beginning to vaccinate some of priority group 1B.

Priority Group 1A:

  • Healthcare Personnel (hospitals and non-hospital healthcare workers)
  • Long-Term Care Facilities

Priority Group 1B:

  • Frontline Essential Workers (Police/Fire/Hazmat, Corrections and Homeless shelter workers, and childcare/PreK-12 teachers/staff)
  • People Age 75+
  • People Age 65+ with an underlying medical condition
