The Chickahominy Health District (Charles City, Goochland, Hanover, and New Kent County Health Departments) will charge a fee based on the request for public records or Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests that are not exempt by the Code of Virginia.
Charges may include actual costs for research, redaction, copying or scanning, and postage, as well as personnel time required to complete these tasks.
Public records include, but are not limited to, inspections, permits, evaluations, drawings, investigations, and other records maintained by the District during the course of public business.
The District requires a deposit if the estimated cost is greater than $200. Requesters may ask for advance notification of the estimated cost.
