Immunizations
The immunization program reduces the morbidity and mortality associated with vaccine-preventable diseases. On-site and off-site immunization clinics provide opportunities for flu, pneumonia, tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, and other adult and childhood vaccines. The program also provides consultation and vaccines for foreign travel.
Visit the VDH Immunization page to learn more about how you can obtain a record of your vaccines, what vaccines you may need, and information about certain vaccines.

Tuberculosis (TB) Management
The Tuberculosis (TB) Management program aims to prevent, control, and eliminate tuberculosis in the community. The program offers confidential TB risk assessment screenings and testing. The TB team works with medical providers of individuals diagnosed with TB or a latent TB infection to provide case management, provision of medication, and care coordination. The team also assists with the identification and testing of contacts for individuals with active TB. We also provide transportation for appointments and home visits to deliver medication to perform Directly Observed Therapy (DOT).

Oral Health
The Dental Health Preventive Services program and the school-based Dental Sealant programs help prevent tooth decay for those who are at higher risk. This includes those that are at the highest risk of dental disease. The program focuses on prevention and early identification and treatment of physical and behavioral health concerns. We aim to serve as a steppingstone to the establishment of a dental home.
This program is currently available in the City of Bristol and the counties of Smyth and Washington. Learn more about the Dental Health Program!
