Environmental Health Services

The Pittsylvania-Danville Health District provides environmental services and education to assess and monitor environmental factors that can potentially affect our health. The Environmental Health team provide services in many program areas including permitting and inspecting of food establishments, tourist establishments, onsite sewage systems, and private wells. We investigate animal bites/rabies exposures and general environmental complaints. The Environmental Health staff also works to provide health education, oversight and information in a wide variety of other programs to the community.  Click on the following links to learn more about our various environmental health topics and resources.
