Forensic Pathology Training Programs

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) of Virginia offers residency/fellowship training in the subspecialty of forensic pathology. This training is offered  in conjunction with Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine at the Richmond OCME Central District Office, and in conjunction with Eastern Virginia Medical School at the Norfolk Tidewater OCME District Office. Local Medical Examiner Training

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner also offers periodic training programs throughout the State for local medical examiners and death investigators. Look for Medical Examiner training at Virginia Institute of Forensic Science and Medicine.
