The Commonwealth’s Earn to Learn Program

The Virginia Department of Health, Office of Health Equity is seeking application responses for the Virginia’s Earn to Learn (ETL) Nursing Education Acceleration Program. For FY 24, the General Assembly directed the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) to utilize Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds authorized by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA SLRF) to establish the Virginia’s Earn to Learn Nursing Education Acceleration Program. These funds will support education and healthcare facility partnerships to provide Registered Nurse (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) students with paid employment during their scholastic journey to become a nurse, thus increasing both clinical education opportunities and the number of practice-ready new graduate nurses in Virginia.

Detailed information about the request for application (RFA) opportunity can be found on eVA.

All applications are due on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 11:45PM EDT.

The deadline to submit questions about the RFA is Monday, May 20, 2024. All questions should be directed to the program officer listed below. If substantive questions are received, a Q&A document will be published alongside the RFA, or an addendum will be published. Any revisions to the solicitation will be made only by addendum issued by the contract officer listed below.
