Being pregnant can be one of the most dangerous times for someone who is experiencing intimate partner violence. Experiencing violence before, during, or after pregnancy can have long-term effects on your health and well-being. It can also affect your baby’s well-being and health.
You are not alone. Seek help if you are experiencing any of the following from a romantic partner:
- physical violence
- stalking
- verbal abuse
- coercion, including about your finances or reproductive choices
It can be scary to take the first step to get help – but no one deserves to be abused. Learn about the signs of domestic abuse, how it impacts your pregnancy, and how you can get support.
