The Portsmouth Community Health Advisory Council works to ensure that key community stakeholders have a voice to provide input to the leadership of Portsmouth Health Department pertaining to community and public health concerns. It also serves to support the mission, vision and values of the Portsmouth Health Department by advocating for equitable health services and policies that improve the health of all who live, work, and play in Portsmouth, VA. Additionally, the advisory council helps to inform community members about programs and services that are provided directly and indirectly through contracts and in partnership with other providers, while building consensus and support around common goals.
