Prince William Health District-Multi-Jurisdictional Coordinated Communications Effort

- The Prince William Health District (PWHD) is currently administering the Moderna vaccine by appointment only. Those wishing to take the vaccine are asked to register for the waitlist at ly/PWHDwaitlist as there is a shortage of the vaccine. As more vaccine become available, PWHD will contact those on the waitlist to receive the vaccine. No walk-ins are being taken at any clinics. Those being vaccinated must have an appointment to be vaccinated.
- Many are asking if I have a waitlist number when will I get vaccinated? The waitlist number is just an ID number. It is not when a person will be vaccinated. It is used to track a person when they are in the right phase being vaccinated, and whether they need an appointment for first dose or second dose.
- Public School Teachers being vaccinated by Novant/UVA Prince William Medical Center with the District’s Pfizer vaccine allocation. These clinics are being held separately from the PWHD clinics and in separate locations. Private School teachers and day care clinic providers should contact their employer for instructions.
- The PWHD call center increased its capacity this week when Prince William County provided library personnel to work on the call center lines.
- The PWHD call center has gone multi-lingual. Once a person of who speaks any of the following languages calls 703-872-7759, the operator can initiate a 3-way call with an interpreter to help answer the caller’s questions. The languages available currently are Amharic, Arabic, Burmese, Dari, Farsi, French, Haitian, Creole, Karen, Kinyarwanda, Korean, Nepali, Oromo, Pashto, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Somali, Spanish, Swahili, Tagalog, Tigrinya, Ukrainian and Vietnamese.
