The CDC recommends everyone 6 months and older should get a 2023-2024 COVID-19 vaccine.
- It targets the most common circulating variants for this fall/winter season.
- It helps protect against severe illness.
- Protection from previous vaccination or infection lessens over time.
Where can I get the updated COVID-19 vaccine?
Most people can still get a vaccine at no cost, and anyone can find a local appointment at vaccines.gov
If you have health insurance, most plans will cover the vaccine at no cost, and is available at pharmacies and health providers.
- Contact your health insurance if you have questions about coverage.
For people who are uninsured, or their health insurance plan does not cover it, you may be eligible to receive a vaccine at no cost through the COVID-19 Bridge Access program listed under vaccines.gov
