Changes are coming to improve your care experience. We’ll keep you informed every step of the way. With the new VDH Care Portal, you can expect:

Transitioning to Electronic Records
The Chesterfield Health District will soon begin transitioning from paper-based to electronic format.
We’ll have to reduce some of our clinical services to allow our staff time to train and change the way we work.
Limited essential clinical services and WIC appointments will continue.
The primary impacts will be to the clinic-based services we offer, including:
- prenatal visits
- family planning appointments
- sexually transmitted infection clinics
These specific services will be limited during the following weeks:
- Oct. 5 – 9
- Oct. 26 – Nov. 6
Limited appointment-only services will still be available, so plan ahead!
What services will be available during reduced service periods?
Essential services available:
- Nursing home screenings
- TB home visiting
- New client maternity exams
- Disease Intervention Specialist services
- WIC will remain open
