The COVID-19 outbreak is rapidly changing. It is important to stay informed with accurate information. Both of these websites have useful information about what you can do prevent the spread of COVID-19 and what to do if you are sick or if someone in your household is sick.

COVID-19 Testing:

If you have COVID-19 like symptoms and/or have been exposed to a known case of COVID-19 and want to be tested for COVID-19, you can contact your healthcare provider. Our health district is currently working on planning concurrent COVID-19 community testing sites with COVID-19 vaccination sites. COVIDWISE: Use You Phone to Fight COVID-19

The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) is pleased to announce that COVIDWISE, Virginia’s official COVID-19 exposure notification mobile app. This is a free smartphone app that is available on  Google Play and in the App Store. After downloading the app, you will be able to use your phone in the fight against COVID-19. To learn more about how COVIDWISE works, check out the links below!

Executive Order 63 (required face coverings):

On May 29th, Executive Order 63 went into effect requiring the proper use of face coverings when in public, indoor settings. For more information on Executive Order 63, please review the FAQ document on Executive Order 63.

What to do if people are not wearing cloth face coverings. For your own safety, do not confront these people or start an argument. Try to stay 6 feet away from people who are not wearing face coverings. You may also call or talk to the business owner about your concerns if you see staff or customers who are not wearing face covers in indoor public settings. COVID-19 Case Count:

The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) COVID-19 Dashboard has the latest case count. You can view the number total COVID-19 cases in Virginia, number of cases in specific localities, and number of cases by zip code. You can also view the data by age, sex, race, and ethnicity under the “Demographics” section. You can filter all of the data by the Central Shenandoah Health District to view the information about our health district.
