BRHD’s Community Health Worker (CHW) Program meets the needs of residents and community members where they’re at. By collaborating with other BRHD programs and local community organizations, individuals and families are connected with the resources they need.
Community Health Office Hours
BRHD’s CHW Supervisor Willie Mae is hosting weekly Office Hours- no appointments needed! Some of the services offered during Office Hours include:
- Health education
- Referrals to local resources and programs
- Free portable cribs and car/booster seats (eligibility required)
- And more!
When and Where
- Every Thursday from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Yancey Community Center (7625 Porters Rd., Esmont, VA 22937)
- 3rd Thursday of the month from 2 to 5 PM at the Dunbar Rosenwald School (2524 Mountain Hill Rd., Palmyra, VA 22963)
