Rabies Education 101
- Tuesday, April 7 from 1 to 2 PM
- Learn about rabies prevention, response, and treatment from the BRHD Environmental Health team.
Back to School Physicals & Vaccination Clinic
- Friday, May 29 from 1 to 3 PM
- Back to school vaccines & physicals for rising 7th & 12th graders. We will offer the following vaccines:
- HPV for rising 7th and 12th graders
- Tdap for rising 7th graders
- Meningococcal for rising 12th graders
- Bring your child’s immunization record and insurance information if applicable. Uninsured children are welcome. Minors must be accompanied by an adult ages 18+.
Flu Vaccination Clinic
- Thursday, November 5 from 3:30 to 5:30 PM
- Flu vaccine clinic for Albemarle County residents ages 3+. Offering regular dose flu shots for ages 3-65 and high dose flu shots for ages 65+.
- Bring insurance information if applicable. Uninsured children are welcome. Minors must be accompanied by an adult ages 18+.
Weekly Community Health Office Hours
- Every Thursday from 10 AM to 2 PM
- Meet 1-on-1 with BRHD’s Community Health Worker Supervisor Willie Mae Gray, no appointment required. Providing health education, resource/program referrals, free crib/car seats (eligibility criteria applies), and more! Visit our Community Health Workers page for cancellation updates.
