Options for Free At-Home Test Kits
There are several options for you to get free at-home COVID-19 test kits.
We have free test kits available at each of our health departments (located in Lynchburg City and Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford and Campbell Counties). They are available while supplies last. You can stop by the location nearest to you to pick up the test kits. There is a limit of 2 test kits per household. Each test kit contains 2 at-home COVID-19 tests.
Starting on September 25, 2023, every household in the U.S. is able to order 4 at-home COVID-19 test kits from the U.S. government. Visit www.covidtests.gov to order your test kits today. Test kits will be shipped to you for free through the U.S. Postal Service.
Testing at the Lynchburg Health Department:
The Lynchburg Health Department does not have any COVID-19 testing events scheduled at this time. Please continue to check back as there may be more testing events scheduled in the future should demand increase.
