What is the COVID Care Kit Program?
The COVID Care Kit program will facilitate the delivery of a kit with food and basic PPE to recipients in the health district who face limitations accessing these necessities during isolation or quarantine or those affected by long COVID. To meet the challenges brought on by COVID-19, the COVID Care Kits Program partners with local food banks and food services.
Who is Eligible for a COVID Care Kit?
You must have a positive COVID-19 lab and be in isolation, or be quarantined with a household member who is COVID-19 positive. Alternatively, applicants can have long COVID with a previous positive COVID-19 test.
Must have a limitation for getting the need met (e.g. low income, financial, elderly, or transportation).
Must live in the following counties/city: Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, Campbell, or Lynchburg.
What is in a COVID Care Kit?

Groceries for the household and 1 meal provided per person
COVID home test kits for those still in quarantine with positive household member
Packet of local community resources
