Child Passenger Safety Program

WHAT IS THE CHILD PASSENGER SAFETY PROGRAM?

This program provides FREE education on proper car seat installment and child positioning. FREE Convertible and booster seats are available for eligible participants.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

To be eligible for a car seat, you must:

Live in the Central Virginia Health District (including Lynchburg City and Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford and Campbell Counties)
Receive WIC and/or Medicaid or meet certain income criteria.

Individuals may apply for a seat during their last trimester of pregnancy or if they have a child under 8 years of age.
