WHAT IS BabyCare?
A visitation program provided by a registered nurse. The BabyCare nurse will answer questions and help mothers work through any issues they may have while pregnant and after baby is born. The visits can be done in the convenience of the client’s home, the local health department, or other convenient location.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Women who are Medicaid eligible and pregnant or have an infant up to two years of age.
IS THERE A COST?
No-The Virginia Department of Health contracts with Medicaid Managed Care Organizations to provide this service.
