Emergency Preparedness & Response

New Guidance on Allocation of Pandemic Influenza Vaccine

Virginia Threat Condition

Welcome to Henrico Health Department’s Emergency Preparedness and Response (EP&R) webpage.  EP&R is responsible for public health disaster planning for Henrico County.

An important part of this process is coordinating with other County agencies, including police and fire, to determine the hazards that may face our community. Once these hazards are identified, planning takes place to reduce the impact of such hazards. Our Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) addresses these issues, and serves as a guide for the County to respond to disasters.  Another benefit of this information is that it allows us to present pertinent information regarding public health preparedness to the general public.

Please take a moment to browse our site to find information that will help you and your family Be Informed, Be Prepared and Be Involved.  We hope this information is beneficial to our citizens and helps the community become a safer place to live.
