Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)

What is WIC?

WIC is a special nutrition program for women, infants, and children.

It provides free foods and nutritional advice.

WIC helps:

Pregnant women

Breastfeeding women

Women with a baby less than 6 months old

Infants

Children under 5

You can join WIC if you:

Live in Virginia

Meet moderate income guidelines

Have a nutritional need

Where to get WIC?

You can only get WIC at your local health department. (Directions and scenes from each health department are available in the "Office Locations" section of this site)
