Immunization Services
No services are available on the first Thursday morning of each month.

Adult Immunizations

Hepatitis B
A series of 3 injections given at different intervals. There is a charge for each injection. Available the second Tuesday morning of each month from 9 - 11 a.m. and the fourth Tuesday afternoon from 2 - 4 p.m.

Tetanus
A written referral is needed from your doctor for a tetanus requested as the result of an injury. Appointment recommended. Times are Monday through Friday from 9 - 11 a.m. and 1 - 4 p.m. (Note:  No services offered the first Thursday morning of each month.)


Flu and Pneumonia Shots
Available in the Fall at the Health Department. Call the Health District's Information Line (768-7499) in mid-September for a flu vaccination clinic schedule and costs.

Measles/Mumps/Rubella
A history of immunizations is required. Clients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Available Monday through Friday 9 - 11 a.m. and 1 - 4 p.m. An office visit charge and administration fee will be applied.  (Note:  No services offered the first Thursday morning of each month.)

Childhood Immunizations (birth to age 18)
  • Walk-in services are held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 9 - 11 a.m. and 1 - 4 p.m. and every Thursday evening from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. (Note:  No services offered the first Thursday morning of each month.)
  • No immunizations are given on Monday, Friday, or the first Thursday morning of each month.
  • An adult must accompany children under age 18.
  • Must bring history of immunizations.
  • Chesterfield Health Department follows the schedule of immunizations recommended by the Division of Immunization, Virginia Department of Health.
  • Some immunizations may have a charge.
  • Meningococcal vaccine is available for college students dependent on available vaccine supply. This is a chargeable vaccine and payment is due when service is given.
  • Immunization WIC Linkage Program for Chesterfield residents offers immunization record review for children attending WIC clinics.
  • If immunizations are not up to date, they are offered at their WIC appointment.

Foreign Travel Immunizations
  • Counseling on recommended and required immunizations for out-of-country travel.

  • Printed information packets available upon request for specific countries.

  • There is a charge for the office visit and each immunization.

  • Appointments are required for counseling and vaccine.
