Tuberculosis (TB) is a bacterial disease spread through the air from one person to another. People most likely to get TB are those who live with or have close contact with a person who has contagious TB and is not getting proper treatment. Symptoms of TB may include a persistent cough that doesn't go away, fatigue, weight loss, loss of appetite and fever.

The Chest Clinic provides evaluation, treatment and preventive treatment programs for tuberculosis (TB). These services are provided at the Fredericksburg Health Department. Walk-in TB skin testing FOR ADULTS ONLY is offered at each health department. There is a small cost involved. Please call for more information.

For CHILDREN, TB Skin Testing for individuals under the age of 18 is provided by the Immunization Clinic. Please call the site nearest you for more information. You'll find contact in formation below.
